Aluminum Siding

Aluminum is resistant to corrosion and that means that it is virtually maintenance-free. It is easy to form and to join. Its lightness makes it easy to handle. Various aluminum products are used in a house construction and in residential renovation: siding (cladding), windows, skylights, weather-proofing, doors, screens, gutters, down spouts, hardware, canopies and shingles, etc.

When you decide to use aluminum siding on your house, it helps to keep it cool in summer, warm in winter, and snug and dry all the year round. It is possible to buy aluminum siding also with insulation and reflective foil backing, so walls can be made weatherproof and energy-efficient. Nowadays a layer of insulated aluminum siding is used, because it is four times more effective than un-insulated wood siding, four inches of brick or ten inches of stone masonry.

One of the reasons why aluminum windows and doors are used is their resistance and rigidness and because of their low rates of expansion and contraction and also of condensation. They are extremely stable, durable and thermally efficient.

Aluminum does not have harmful side-effects when considering depositing or incineration and aluminum recycling contributes to environmental production. So aluminium siding is good for you and for the house itself.

i would like to find a color match for my aluminum siding, so i may replace some of the scratched and dented pieces. my color is yellow. i have had this on my house for about 30 years and the base of the house has held up well. i would hate to have to do the whole house. any information you might have, or a color chart would be most helpful.
