Should I install my new roof or new siding first?

Actually there is no clear answer whether the siding should be installed before the roof. In most cases the new siding is installed first and one that is done the new roof can be installed. Actually most of the roof tiles also have instructions written on their packages whether or not it is necessary to install siding before or not or if there is no such kind of information you can just contact some roof installer and they can help you with that matter.

If it is still necessary to install the siding make sure that you follow the instructions carefully as otherwise you might not do a very good job and this would mean further repair works on the roof and walls later on and none of us want to spend additional money to fix a job that was supposed to be done before. As the siding comes in various forms and sizes, you have to be sure which of them go together exactly before starting to build anything. In addition, different siding types are also designed for different conditions so they cannot be used everywhere. Just make sure that everything fits and you have bought the right materials before you start to install either the new roof or siding.
