I have purchased a house built around the 1970' and an individual told me that the siding is masionite. It is 12 inches wide and 16 foot long. The surface of the siding is smooth. I was told it is masionite siding. o | |
The siding looks as though is is attached by some metal hooks at the ends of the sheets or boards. Can you tell me the type of masonite siding this might be? I went to a local builders supply today and bought seven sheets but it was texured and what is on the house is smooth as I said above. Can you tell me where I might be able to buy such a product?

the siding is called masonite lap siding 12" x 16 ft long costs around $13.95. it seems to be hard to find in some places because people have gone to other products and only use for replacing old siding.
