how do I restain old cedar siding

I have rough cedar siding that has been clear sealed twice but has now turned black and I have to redo. Can you help me? Either we have to cover it with a different siding or put a solid paint on it.

first you have to treat the siding first. clean it with oxygen bleach and scrub it thoroughly then rinse. then dry it. now, apply a siding water repellent. it is your choice if you are going to put a new siding coat or solid paint. good luck.
