how much does warped siding devalue a home? | |
i am in the market for buying a home. there is one that was built in 2003 and has vinyl siding. when i look at the north face of the house, at an angle, i can see waves in the siding. when i press against the warped areas, i can feel a space before i meet resistance. how much would this devalue the house? must this be repaired and what would happed if it were not?

you can ask the seller if it can be repaired before you purchase the house, if not, reduce the price based on the repair cost of the siding. but don't expect the price to go low that much.
