is it ok to install hardy board over masonite siding? | |
i have masonite siding on my residence i am looking to have it replaced. i was told i could leave the masonite that was still good and put the hardy board over it. is this recommended??? would the masonite undernearth rot and i have a huge problem on my hands???

if you got the budget to de-install the masonite and install the new hardy board, go for it. it would be best to remove the masonite and use it on other purposes than leave it there without so much use.
