depending on the size of the crack, you can apply a thin layer of latex paint for minor cracks. for a bit bigger cracks, first apply an epoxy on the crack to cover it before applying a thin layer of latex paint on it. for bigger cracks or holes, apply a mixture of hydraulic cement and water to fill in the hole.
just be careful on handling asbestos as it is found out that it cause lung cancer. if you plant to remove or de install your asbestos sidings, better to consult a professional.
