what is hardiboard siding (i probably did not spell that right)

i understand that there is a siding that last for 50 years. it is called hardiboard or something like that. can you confirm this for me. thank you.

i think you are referring to the hardie board made and manufactured by james hardie. the board is made of fiber cement thus it resists strict weather conditions and may last for fifty years but the manufacturer itself only guarantees 30 years for this product. in any case, it is worth it.
