How Much does a regular Siding instalaer charges for a Square and how would you measure a Square?



I want to put siding on my house but want to figure out what will be easier if do it myself or pay someone. Thank You

depends where you live here in ND an average installer will charge between 70 - 100 dollars per square but in bigger city's you can see double that they will also charge you to remove your old siding if you can not go over the top as for figuring out how many squares you need take the length of the wall multiply it by the height then divide it by 100 the get the amount of squares you will need to cover that wall (ex your wall is 45 feet long and 8.5 feet high take 45x8.5=382.5 divide that by 100 and you would get 3.83 squares
