I have offered to buy a home. The inspector noted "warped and loose" siding. The seller's realtor said there was a 20 year guarantee from Masonite Colorlock. They are out of business. Is this a problem? Should I back out of the purchase. Seller

Seller refuses to repair siding.

obviously, the guarantee is useless now since the company is out of business. you can still go on with the purchase but consider asking for a discount since the guarantee for the siding is useless now and it will be up to you to repair it in the future.
